MiNISTRIES
We seek to be a multicultural, multigenerational congregation with growing influence for Jesus Christ in the Village of Mayfield, Fulton County, across the Capital Region, and around the world.
The mission field is all around us. We must all look outside of ourselves and share our resources, our gifts and our very lives with others. As a missional church, we recognize that the main focus of our mission is relationship. We also have learned that mission is a two-way street and we have grown in Christ understanding that we always learn much more than we give and teach.
The Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church family strives to recognize and react to the needs within our own community. We are also a sending church that seeks to reflect the example set by Jesus Christ and we live as disciples of Jesus Christ going out into the world as the hands and feet of Christ..
Our mission focus is currently in the following areas:

Prayer Ministry
Philippians 4:6-7
“6Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
We believe that prayer is foundational to our life together as the body of Christ. Our prayer ministry is a vital part of our church community. Prayer is powerful. We believe that it is important to pray as part of our care for each other and our ministry in Mayfield, Fulton County, our country and the world.
Here are just a few ways in which we join together in prayer…
Community Prayer (worship joys and concerns)
Each worship weekend, we lift up the joys we have experienced in God's blessings, as well as the concerns that have been heavy on our hearts. Come join us on Sundays at 9:00 am during July and August and 10:#0 am the rest of the year and experience God's presence in gathered worship and community prayer.
Prayer Cards
Another way to request prayer is to fill out a prayer card, located in the seat pockets of the pews. These cards give you the option to have your request prayed for by our pastor confidentially, by our prayer chain (a dedicate group of people called to a ministry of prayer), or by the whole church community (with permission).
Prayer Chain
Our prayer team is always ready to pray! If you have a particular prayer need, please call, Libby VanNostrand at 661-6602. A round-robin prayer team will be activated. The prayer team is available to pray with you and for you for any need. If you wish to join the prayer team, please talk to Pastor Bonnie
