Friday’s Table is a community outreach program initiated and managed by The Church of the Holy Spirit. Every Friday, dating back to 1998, volunteers come together to give of their time, talent, and treasure, to serve, clothe, and feed those in need. All the food and clothing is donated. Volunteers come from our and other faith communities and service organizations. Mayfield Presbyterian Church has participated in taking a turn for over ten years now. If you would like to volunteer to help on a Friday afternoon, please contact Mary DiSanto-Rose at 518-224-2080 or let Pastor Bonnie know you are interested.

Friday’s Table takes place at Holy Spirit Community Center, 161 South Main Street, Gloversville every Friday. It is open to anyone who would like a good home-cooked meal. Since Covid, we have been serving take-out meals. It has worked well but the attendees do miss the socializing that took place when they could eat inside.

There are enough teams so that each group cooks every 2-3 months. The Mayfield Volunteers usually prepare roasted pork, potatoes and carrots, a good hardy meal! There are 5-6 people who help prepare and serve the take-out meals to over 60 very appreciative people weekly. The Mayfield Group will serve again on Friday June7th.
